Honor of the Game Award
The Honor the Game Award is an award that is designed to honor the student athlete that sets high standards and no matter what sticks to those standards. Honoring the Game gets to what we call the ROOTS of positive play, where ROOTS stands for respect for rules, opponents, officials, teammates and one’s self. Honoring the Game is another definition for sportsmanship – it’s about representing our athletic programs with class and excellence. Each team nominates one player that they felt best characterized Honoring the Game throughout their season. We present an award to one male and one female from all of our athletic programs. Their names will go on a perpetual plaque that will be hung in our Hall of Champions.
Please find below the list of nominees from each team. I would like to personally congratulate each and everyone of them for being nominated for this award. It is certainly high praise from their team's coach and in all cases well deserved!

After each season, the Honor the Game award goes to one male and one female from all of our athletic programs. Their names will go on a perpetual plaque that will be hung in our hall of champions. I want to congratulate this year's award winners:
Our Female Award Winner is Kendall Donati! Coach Young said, as a 2X All-Section and 2020 All-WPIAL selection, Kendall is a recognized elite soccer talent in the Pittsburgh community. But, what separates Kendall from others is, she would trade her individual accolades for team-success without a hint of hesitation or reservation. Kendall is a competitor who exhibits grace and class; she is a winner who recognizes the value of hard work and commitment, and her drive to continually improve was evident in the way she prepared for our season, even amidst the pandemic.
Our Male Award Winner is Colin Barrett. Coach D'Alo said Colin is a 3 year starter on the boys golf team and is a calming influence for our team. He honors the game with his attention to etiquette and polite demeanor. I've witnessed Colin rake sand traps for opponents because they are struggling, he always helps locate lost golf balls, even for the opposing team, and tries to get to know his opponent in an effort to enjoy the round. Colin leads by example and has set an excellent one for our team going forward, we will miss his leadership.
Congrats again to Kendall and Colin and to all nominees!
